There is nothing new under the sun

I wrote this many, many years ago. It actually took me a long time to get all these cliches to make a mild sense of logic.
There is nothing new under the sun
It’s all just a tired old cliché
It’s all just déjà vu all over again
But hey I say – touché
I may be another face in the crowd
But truth is I am one in a million
I guess that makes me the best thing since sliced bread
I realised that at the crack of dawn
I woke and smelled the coffee
Realising that it’s better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all
Women- you can’t live with ‘em, can’t live without ‘em
That’s because they’re as sweet as apple pie
But gentlemen, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned
They say life’s hard then you die
But when the going gets tough, the tough get going
They grab the bull by the horn
And remain as cool as a cucumber
So when life gives you lemons, make lemonade
That’s the long and short of it
Sometimes I get so hungry I could eat a horse
Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt
And it tastes like chicken
I enjoyed reading this piece. It “put a smile on my face”
